Just Waiting To Meet Her

Yesterday while sitting in a doughnut shop I suddenly remembered that I promised my pregnant cousin I would do some in-utero baby paintings so I quickly did this relying on guesswork. You can imagine my shock when I did a proper image search and found out what it really looks like. They don't have pillows or calendars and they certainly aren't tattooed yet!

The first day my boy was at home.

He just stared at me the whole time that I drew him. Now he's just days away from being a ten year old.

juvenile retinoschisis

My son has a degenerative eye condition. He may slowly go blind or it may happen instantly. We hope that it doesn't deteriorate any further but yesterday he had some difficulty seeing. These are some drawings from his last operation. He's eating freezies on the bottom drawing.
He was in such terrible pain after the operation and asked us to kiss him where it hurt. Up until that day he thought that kisses 'cured' pain. "It's not working!" he cried.

I don't pray but if anybody feels so inclined I'd sure appreciate it.

It's not fair

The school my daughter went to last year was depressing. Her teacher was too strict and the kids were mean hearted.
She likes the school she goes to now.

Bunnies in Hell

I always wanted to work for this company and finally got the opportunity. Unfortunately the publisher is completely insane right now! He commissioned me to write a story about a lonely bunny wandering around in Hell looking for his family.
At the end, I have the bunny finally finding his family in the belly of a demonic beast that ate him!
I somehow managed to make it a happy and uplifting tale.
The art was based on the imagery of the Renaissance artist, Heironymous Bosch.

Genesis 22:1-18

22 Now it came to pass after these things that God tested Abraham, and said to him, “Abraham!”
And he said, “Here I am.”
Then He said, “Take now your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you.”
So Abraham rose early in the morning and saddled his donkey, and took two of his young men with him, and Isaac his son; and he split the wood for the burnt offering, and arose and went to the place of which God had told him. Then on the third day Abraham lifted his eyes and saw the place afar off. And Abraham said to his young men, “Stay here with the donkey; the lad and I will go yonder and worship, and we will come back to you.”
So Abraham took the wood of the burnt offering and laid it on Isaac his son; and he took the fire in his hand, and a knife, and the two of them went together. But Isaac spoke to Abraham his father and said, “My father!”
And he said, “Here I am, my son.”
Then he said, “Look, the fire and the wood, but where is the lamb for a burnt offering?”
And Abraham said, “My son, God will provide for Himself the lamb for a burnt offering.” So the two of them went together.
Then they came to the place of which God had told him. And Abraham built an altar there and placed the wood in order; and he bound Isaac his son and laid him on the altar, upon the wood. 10 And Abraham stretched out his hand and took the knife to slay his son.
11 But the Angel of the Lord called to him from heaven and said, “Abraham, Abraham!”
So he said, “Here I am.”
12 And He said, “Do not lay your hand on the lad, or do anything to him; for now I know that you fear God, since you have not withheld your son, your only son, from Me.”
13 Then Abraham lifted his eyes and looked, and there behind him was a ram caught in a thicket by its horns. So Abraham went and took the ram, and offered it up for a burnt offering instead of his son. 14 And Abraham called the name of the place, The-Lord-Will-Provide; as it is said to this day, “In the Mount of the Lord it shall be provided.”
15 Then the Angel of the Lord called to Abraham a second time out of heaven, 16 and said: “By Myself I have sworn, says the Lord, because you have done this thing, and have not withheld your son, your only son 17 blessing I will bless you, and multiplying I will multiply your descendants as the stars of the heaven and as the sand which is on the seashore; and your descendants shall possess the gate of their enemies. 18 In your seed all the nations of the earth shall be blessed, because you have obeyed My voice.”

Ezekiel 1:19&20

"When the living creatures moved, the wheels beside them moved; and when the living creatures rose from the ground, the wheels also rose. Wherever the spirit would go, they would go, and the wheels would rise along with them, because the spirit of the living creatures was in the wheels."

Confined and locked within a proud and deceptive consciousness....

Does nature not conceal most things from him-even concerning his own body-in order to confine and lock him within a proud, deceptive consciousness, aloof from the coils of the bowels, the rapid flow of the blood stream, and the intricate quivering of the fibers! She threw away the key. And woe to that fatal curiosity which might one day have the power to peer out and down through a crack in the chamber of consciousness and then suspect that man is sustained in the indifference of his ignorance by that which is pitiless, greedy, insatiable, and murderous-as if hanging in dreams on the back of a tiger.

I am still sick

This is the type of thing I draw when I'm sick. It's clearly the work of a sick mind.

The year of the dragon starts tomorrow

We found the black water dragon at the beach last summer. It was probably the wrong thing to do but I let the kids take it home.  It was a great pet for a few days but when it tried to eat my daughter I freaked. I grabbed it by the tail and threw it against the wall, then picked up a shovel and was about to mash it but it looked at me with such a profound expression of sadness that I let it go.
I know I should've killed it but how could I?
Imagine if you took a time machine and saw little Hitler in the playground.
Would you kill him?

Robobitch

This is the cover for a secret story of mine. No one but me has ever seen it and no one else ever will.
If an outer space alien reading this somewhere in a galaxy far far away decides to hunt me down and dissect my whole body looking for it, they wouldn't even find it in my brain.
